What has been your favourite project at GCX so far?
My favourite project at GCX so far has got to be the ACSA Airport Carbon Accreditation Programme. I have enjoyed interacting with our clients, collecting, analysing, and validating data to ensure accuracy, reliability, and completeness of data.
If you could switch your job with anyone else at GCX, whose job would you want and why?
It would be Dustin Lawrence, the Low Carbon Engineer. He is one of the great minds behind the GCX online Eco-Analytics dashboard which I find so fascinating. If I were to choose another career line, it would surely involve “all things IT”!
What, in your opinion, are the three words that best describe GCX?
Innovation, Quality and Efficiency.
What do you like the most about GCX and what is your favourite part of working there?
I love the diversity of skills and talents embodied by GCX which allows one to grow and expand.
How did you first learn about GCX and what first drew you to the company?
I first learned of GCX through LinkedIn, which led me to the GCX website. That is where I was enlightened further regarding the company. What drew me to the company was my passion for the science and technology industry.
What are your hopes for the sustainability industry, and in particular GCX’s clients?
It is my hope that more and more organisations and companies acquire and continually achieve sustainable developments. It is my desire that more of our clients develop to be more environmentally aware by considering their impact on society and the environment – thereby helping construct an environment in which their business can thrive.
Before working at GCX, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Before working at GCX, I worked as a Data Analyst, where I worked with a vast variety of data and dealing with people of different characters and personalities.
What would you say is the biggest career lesson you’ve learnt thus far?
Good things come to those who diversify. It is important to always be willing to expand your knowledge and be willing to learn. It is not advisable to continually stick to what you know only, limiting yourself from learning and growing. Make the most of every opportunity.

What is your favourite film of all time and why?
The Passion of Christ – besides the impressive graphics, I love it because it reminds me of the manner of love that Christ had for all mankind by laying His life for it.
