Sustainability Spotlight: GCX DASH- ESG

GCX is committed to continuously driving innovative solutions to help our clients grow their businesses through measured sustainability. As Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) become increasingly important, we have enhanced our ESG offering and we are proud to spotlight GCX DASH- ESG.

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) has continued to be top of mind in 2021 and is set to grow in importance in 2022. ESG can be a confusing concept as it encompasses a large number of topics that impact an organisation at every level.  It represents the next phase to building a more sustainable future.

The requirement for companies to urgently respond to the market and incorporate ESG into their enterprise risk management frameworks and strategic objectives has, in some cases, left them puzzled as to where to start and what areas to prioritise.

Acknowledging the growing demand for ESG related services, specifically from clients, GCX have responded by appointing a Senior ESG Advisor to guide our ESG service offering going forward. Brondwyn Douglas brings 17 years of ESG-related experience to our team and has been instrumental in providing the necessary input to our digital team in understanding ESG data and presenting it in a usable fashion that enables effective decision-making. In parallel to this, Brondwyn is supporting clients to understand their specific ESG landscape by undertaking materiality assessments, developing strategies, and determining the company-specific key performance indicators (KPI’s) and metrics necessary to manage and mitigate risks.

We live in a technology-driven society and with the crowding of the traditional ESG consulting space, GCX has taken our data-driven approach that was used to develop our initial environmental platform and applied it to the concept of producing an all-encompassing ESG platform. GCX DASH- ESG utilises the best of our advisory and digital expertise to produce a platform that enables the performance management of ESG risk.

A materiality-based approach rather than basing our platform off regulators and rating agencies, allows organisations to determine the material ESG risks and metrics specific to their organisation upfront. Adopting this approach simplifies the ESG data collection, analytics and reporting stages allowing organisations to quickly move out the gate into the performance management of ESG.
