What has been your favourite project at GCX so far?

Definitely the GCX Eco-Analytics Dashboard. I have loved watching this product evolve into the innovative solution it is today. We truly are solving many problems in our clients’ businesses and giving them visibility into their data that just wasn’t possible before.

If you could switch your job with anyone else at GCX, whose job would you want and why?

Bernie – he is a data Ninja!!!!

What, in your opinion, are the three words that best describe GCX?

Authentic. Innovative. Family

What do you like the most about GCX and what is your favourite part of working there?

I love the people that I work with at GCX. We really are like family. We have a great culture and lots of fun that goes along with all the hard work.

How did you first learn about GCX and what first drew you to the company?

I didn’t come from a sustainability background. An old school friend of mine that worked at an environmental sustainability NPO introduced me to Kevin. Once I met the team I knew that they were on a mission I wanted to be part of.

What are your hopes for the sustainability industry, and in particular GCX’s clients?

I hope that leaders in companies have finally reached a point where they have realised that sustainability is paramount to the future success of their organisations. Recently, we have seen this more and more with GCX clients and are so proud to be part of their journey.

Before working at GCX, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I was a cultural representative for South Africa at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I was part of a team from Sub Saharan Africa that engaged with guests on topics such as conservation, wildlife, heritage and the continent of Africa.

What would you say is the biggest career lesson you’ve learnt thus far?

Perseverance combined with optimism are key to achieving your goals.

What is your favourite quote?

Life is uncertain, eat dessert first.

What are some of the books you’ve read recently?

Becoming by Michelle Obama, Born a Crime by Trevor Noah and The Ride of a Lifetime by Bob Iger

Where is your favourite holiday destination in South Africa?

Plettenberg Bay. One of my favourite places in the world to swim in the sea is Robberg Beach.
